Sarah Seven #theluxuriouslifeofabigailsterling Styled Shoot.
In late November, Rachel Loewen received an email from Sarah Seven asking her if she would be interested in choosing three gowns out of their newest line, The Luxurious Life of Abigail Sterling, to photograph in a styled shoot. They had found her through Instagram, as she had photographed one other Sarah Seven dress, been a model in one, and she also walked down the aisle to say "I do." in one. Needless to say, she was thrilled when she received the email. I immediately received a text, as I was involved in both styled shoots featuring Sarah Seven dresses, with her. I, obviously, said a confident and excited "Yes! We'll make it happen!"
There was a quick timeline, so we promptly started dreaming and vision boarding. As we were talking about venue, Room 1520 - the spot Rachel celebrated her wedding, quickly came to mind. A space that is simple, elegant - a place where the gowns would speak for themselves but be accented by minimalist white walls and sofas and by more extravagent chandeliers. And a place with a jaw dropping rooftop view. We wanted to keep it simple, by adding small details only - including macaroons from Vanilla , and Rose of course. As for a model, our dear friend Meredith Overmyer was the perfect fit, and available to join this styled shoot! She is a stunner and wow'd us all morning with her natural beauty in each of the gowns. Then of course, I did hair, and Rachel was the photographer.
We were sent a gallery of all of the gowns, and we were all dreamy heart eyes while browsing and choosing which three we would request. They were all jaw dropping but we were able to narrow it down to a group of our favorites. This line is unique, elegant, simple, luxurious, and we were lucky enough to spend a morning making magic happen in them. We ended up with The Nomad Gown, the Manhattan Dress, & the Sunsets Forever Dress.
Naturally, I had to share my favorites here on the blog. So grab a glass of Rose, sit down, and scroll away.
This post has been on the back burner the last couple of months because, well, life. But it's been such a treat to sit down and revisit this morning through photos.
Guys. I just can't get over how lucky I am to work hand in hand with one of my very best friends on passion projects that fill our hearts. Keep pursuing what you love, and little by little things will be placed right in your lap - like this styled shoot.
