So, why a blog?

So, why a blog?

I've thought about this a lot, what is my purpose in this blog? Why has it been on my mind for the past year that I want to start one?

I want a place to share my passions. If there's a hair event I want to tell people about my experience there, and share photos of the hard work that was put into making it happen. If I suddenly feel inspired to encourage runners I want to write about it, if I have a run that's not so awesome I want to write about THAT too- because there's value in struggle and vulnerability. If there's a book I love I want to tell everyone to read it, a recipe I tried I want everyone to know how awesome (or not awesome) it was. I want to come back from a weekend trip and share the photos and the experiences I had in that new place.

I'm excited about life about 90% of the time. And my energy level is at about a solid 8 on a 1-10 scale. I LOVE to share my excitement and energy and tell everyone I meet about what I've been finding joy in lately. So here it is- my little blog of joy, with the daily struggles mixed in because with joy comes struggles and with vulnerability comes community.
