2016: Hair.

What a year!! In January of 2016 Red 7 Salon decided to combine their locations, moving me from Evanston to River North, and what an exciting transition it's been. I was lucky enough to have a good group of my Evanston clients follow, and from there I built more and more of a client base. I have absolutely loved all of the clients I have gained while being in River North, so many different personalities, careers, life stories, and of course color. In addition to all of the new clients through the salon, and my coworkers referring me, I have had so many wonderful friends come into Red 7 to get their color done by me. There's no bigger compliment than a friend calling and making an appointment, it's so special to have people I love come into the place where I spend the majority of my week and find the quality of my work worth the investment. In addition to all of the awesome color clients I have gained and had the pleasure of meeting, 2016 was also a year of building confidence and a love for special event hair. Guys, I officially love doing wedding hair. There is something so unbelievably special about being a part of someones big day. You are with them in their morning moments, you see the anxiously excited looks on their face, and you have the ability to create a part of their overall look that they've been dreaming about for months (or maybe their whole life.)

All of that being said, I couldn't help but share some of my favorite colors of the year. It was a year full of first time color, balayages, highlights, and pops of fashion colors, and I loved every bit of it.

And of course I have to share my favorite brides, bridesmaids, braids & updos.

So, cheers to 2016. I'm looking forward to 2017 being full of even more wonderful people and wonderful hair.
