& included the best donut I’ve ever had.
*** this is a very big deal statement ****
& filled with a whole lotta quality time with this one.
This trip was filled with a whole lotta craft beer.
* I think we made it to 10 breweries in 5 days 🤷♀️🍻
3 miles before we reached the end of our hike, it began to drizzle which turned into a hard rain with loud thunder in the not so far distance.
I may have freaked out a bit, fully believing I was going to slip down the mountainside.. Joe calmly took the lead until the storm subsided.
That storm ended up creating some of the most beautiful views on our hike down - the dark & quickly moving clouds, the vibrant green shining leaves, the soaked dirt, the rain-covered rocks, the slow drips of water along the sides of the trails.
God’s creation seriously amazes me. He is the greatest artist, and observing his work shift as the time of day or weather shifts is the biggest reminder of his power and creativity.
The stairs just past Arch Rock on the Alum Cave Trail.
There were a whole lot of stairs and steep inclines on our hike Monday. The challenge felt good, the views were beyond rewarding, & the company was perfect.
Spent the last five days in Asheville, North Carolina with my love.
It was full of coffee, beer, yum food, heart talks, wandering, drives in the mountains, hiking.
We would both agree this moment was the highlight of the whole trip - the peak of Mount LeConte.
Checked out the new coffee shop @herb_and_alchemy Lincoln Park this week.
They had Lemongrass Cold Brew & it was YUM ☕️
Exploring the coffee shops of Chi will never get old.
Closeups of curled, freshly Balayaged hair make me swoon 😍
Wandering around my neighborhood at golden hour will always be one of my favorite things. ✨
#OurChicagoStories Part 10
The photos Rach captures of me styling on OCS afternoons, are always special to look back on. Seeing a different perspective of you doin’ your thing is always interesting, in my opinion. It gives you a different viewpoint of your craft, your art.
Head over to my blog to read and see more about this afternoon back in March.
